Gianluca Scamacca Gone
Taking to Twitter, the Italy international wrote: “Dear West Ham.

“While my time in London didn’t go the way I had planned, some of my greatest life moments were made here. And for that I’m forever grateful Thank you to the players and staff for making me feel so welcome, and the fans for their continued support.

“I will continue to support this fantastic club from home in Italy, and will be keeping in close touch with the lifelong friends I have made whilst in England Thank you for everything, Ciao.”

IF ONLY SOMEONE HAD CONSIDERED STARTING A TRANSFER SPECULATION THREAD

He just wants to see the little red “signed” next to his name.

If we can have a thread on sticky toffee hob nobs, then I'm sure we can have a thread on a new striker coming in after 2 years!

What about two threads on sticky toffee hob nobs?

Re: Gianluca Scamacca
I think the tradition is that a player gets their own thread ONCE they have signed and are pictured with the manager having a cup of tea and a sticky toffee hob nob in the boardroom.

Re: Gianluca Scamacca
If we get this one over the line, he deserves a thread of his own.

For me, he's a better option than Broja who didn't really blow me away with his 6 goals last season for Southampton. I honestly reckon one of our youth products could have produced similar return if given the same chance. Plus at 20 there is so little evidence of whether he will come good or not. It was a big risk for me.

At least Scamacca has a season of scoring a decent amount of goals. 8 in 13 starts for Genoa the season before last and 16 in 25 last season. He looks pretty strong too so I think he'll adapt well to the Premier League.

IMHO he's the better option even if he is a little more expensive.

I'm with Jimmy. Never understood this attitude. Don't see why we can't have a new thread on every player we get seriously linked to, especially when like this one we know that an offer has actually taken place.

That transfer thread is full of the same people popping up to say the same thing every other day.

With the medical pending and no official word yet, I’d say the OP is going out on a LIMB.

I agree with Nagel and Jimmy. It's better to keep the debate on transfers on one thread

I’ve never heard of a sticky toffee hob nob.
They sound good are they?

I wonder if they’re anything like the English toffee ice cream I get out here.

Hard not to agree with Factory Seconds. Let's hope it goes better this time.

I predict he won't agree personal terms after seeing our portacabin training facilities.

Cracking signing if this goes through. Although at this point I’d take Lee Trundle

Personal terms have yet to be finalised with Gianluca Scamacca and his agent Alessandro Lucci and until they are resolved no medical will be scheduled to complete the £35.6m transfer on a five year contract. As of yet he has not flown to London.

Re: Gianluca Scamacca
personal terms also includes whether or not he even wants to come.

feels like the agent is on our side (given he's kostic's aswell) and the club are happy with the cash, but whether the player wants to come (or if moyes wants him - not that would stop the transfer anyway) remains to be seen.

certainly feels like an opportunity we'd be mental to turn down, but like i said before, so did haller.

Still can't get over excited until he has a picture with a west ham shirt and its official. Would be very West Ham for this one not to sign.
